I was a member of the organization from 2015-2019, joined the Ambassadors team in 2017, and served as the Secretary of the Ambassadors action team from 2017-2018.
The Ambassadors action team is responsible for connecting members with community leaders and organizations, as well as other young professionals. Ambassador team members are tasked with developing unique ways for members to make valuable professional and personal connections. Those concepts come to fruition in various forms, such as monthly networking events, showcase events, and lunch and learns.
Mission: Plan and host events that connect young professionals with community leaders, local organizations, and other young professionals.
Vision: To build the network of young professionals in Wichita where meaningful connections are created.
Commitment: Attend monthly team meetings, attend committee meetings as necessary, attend team events, plan or assist with planning a minimum of one event per year.
*Note: The organization has since re-branded to W/ A Community of Young Professionals, and the Ambassadors action team is now called the Connect team.
